Welcome to L'ANTICA DIMORA

Luxury Suites & Apartments - Bed & Breakfast

THE HOUSE

In the heart of the historic center of Mandas, the first Duchy created by the Spanish in Sardinia in 1600, stands the Antica Dimora, once an elegant residence belonging to an important family of notaries in the town.

After a careful conservative restoration, the Antica Dimora has now been transformed into an elegant guesthouse.

Three separate apartments overlook a bright garden, where it is pleasant to linger in the evenings reading or enjoying a good glass of wine.

Sometimes we need to fully immerse ourselves in the places we visit, to get to know small local producers, local markets offering locally sourced fruit and vegetables, and to buy oil and cheese from those who produce it by cultivating the land and caring for the livestock; this is precisely the vocation of our region.

It will be an exciting experience to discover the secrets of this corner of Sardinia and return home in the evening to cook and savor the richness and goodness of our products. The fully equipped kitchens in our homes will be at your disposal!

If you'd rather discover the succulent local cuisine, let the hosts offer advice on the town's restaurants and farmhouses.

OUR ACCOMMODATIONS

At Antica Dimora, the homes are named after aromatic plants that have always scented our gardens and countryside…

Helichrysum,

Myrtle,

Lavender.

Each house has a private entrance, is independent from the others, and faces the inner garden.

"Myrtle" House

Myrtle, in Sardinian “Murta”.

A plant very dear to us Sardinians, a symbol of purity and highly prized for the aroma its leaves impart to roast meats and for its fruits, from which the famous liqueur of the same name is made.

Mirto is an elegant and cosy little house that is entirely on the ground floor.

The entrance hall features a large living room with sofas, a sofa bed, and a fully equipped kitchenette. The bathroom has a comfortable walk-in shower. Finally, the master bedroom overlooks the outdoor courtyard.

The house can accommodate two adults and one child.

"Elicriso" House

Helichrysum, in Sardinian “Ebra de Santa Maria”.

Its scent is exactly the same one that pervades every corner of our island. The one you'll smell in the air as you step off the plane, mingled with the salty sea air.

Its scientific name, “helichrysum”, derives from the combination of the Greek terms “elios” (sun) and “crusòs” (golden) and means “golden sun”.

Elicriso is our most spacious house, approximately 120 square meters.
On the ground floor there is a large kitchen equipped with every comfort.
The living room features comfortable sofas and a guest bathroom. The first floor includes the master bedroom, the main bathroom with shower, and a second bedroom with a double sofa bed.

It can accommodate up to 4 guests.

"Lavender" House

Lavender, in Sardinian “Abioi”.

Widespread in the countryside, the wild variety has always been used by our grandmothers to prepare healing infusions.

Its aroma perfumed the linen kept in the typical carved chests for the brides' trousseau.

This house is spread over two levels: on the ground floor there is a small but well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a large walk-in shower, and a living room with a high ceiling.

A flight of stairs leads from the living room to the mezzanine where there is a spacious double bed.

It can accommodate two adults and one child.

The railway station, located on the northern outskirts of Mandas, connects the town with the capital Cagliari and
with Sorgono and Arbatax, thanks to the two narrow-gauge tourist lines on which the famous
